What is NATARAJ?
|
|
Nataraja (Nataraj) sculpture is said to
be that Shiva is shown as the source of all movement within the
cosmos, represented by the arch of flames. As Nataraja (Sanskrit: Lord of Dance)
Shiva represents apocalypse and creation into power and enlightenment.
Lord Brahma created the Panchamaveda, Fifth veda, Natyaveda, an essence of the other
four vedas. Pathya (words) form the Rigveda, abhinaya (gesture) from the Yajurveda,
geet (music and chant) from Samaveda and rasa (sentiment and emotional element)
from Atharvaveda to form the fifth veda, Natyaveda.
